Helipcopter ride over Kaikoura
Great trip. Pilot was full of good information, made every effort (and succeeded) to find a whale for us to see. We landed on high ground looking out over Kaikoura and the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend others to fly with this company.

Flight cancelled
Unfortunately our flight was cancelled as the helicopter needed 2 FULL paying passengers as well as the discounted ‘book me’ passengers. We understood that from a business perspective and unfortunately there are no overseas tourists around. But the staff at the helicopter business were great, courteous, and gave us other options ( pay full fare, take the plane flight out, get refund,etc) So basically the book me fares are only “ seat-fillers”. But that’s ok, we’ll try it another day.

Excellent experience
Despite the nature of the business, were blessed to see the sperm whale. Every single second was worth the experience.
