The iconic Maori Rock formations at Mine Bay have long been hailed as some of the most celebrated contemporary Maori artworks in New Zealand, attracting locals and visitors alike from all over the world.
Get away from the big crowds and enjoy an intimate cruise aboard our unique, pirate-themed vessel "Sail Fearless" led by local expert - Captain Dave, as we take a thrilling journey on Great Lake Taupo to discover this fascinating cultural landmark.
Prop up a bean bag or snuggle under some blankets and have your camera at the ready to capture some of the most breathtaking views around, taking in the popular Acacia Bay and Rangatira Point en route. If you're game, try your luck at giving the crew a hand hoisting the sails or even taking a turn at the wheel!
You will be in awe upon reaching the Maori Rock Carvings embedded in the towering cliff face looming 14 meters high above. Only viewable from the water, these dramatic works are some of the largest rock art of their kind in the world and will be sure to impress!
To top off the experience, you can cool off as we take a stop for a swimming break - the longest swim stop out of any company on the lake!

9.30am: Maori Rock Carving Scenic Cruise at our Early Bird Tour! Light Refreshments can be purchased from the cheapest bar on the lake or you can also bring your own light refreshments for your convenience.

Wunderbarer Segeltourn
Wir hatten die Earley-bird Tour und es war sooo entspannend. Wir genossen den See und hatten viel Zeit bei den Highlights :-) vielen vielen Dank an das ganze Team

Abenteuer Segltour
Wir hatten uns zwar auf eine ruhige Segeltour eingestellt, doch durch den starken Wind an diesem Morgen und die dadurch verursachten Wellen, wurde es zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Als die super freundliche Skipperin sagte: „habt Ihr Lust auf ein Abenteuer“ haben noch nicht mit dem was folgte gerechnet. Wir saßen ganz vorne im Boot und das Boot steuerte direkt in die Wellen. Der Seegang hat super viel Spaß gemacht und das wir bei den hohen Wellen nass geworden sind war auch nicht schlimm, denn nach kurzer Zeit hat die Sonne uns wieder getrocknet. Auch gut war, dass die Skipperin vor dem Wellenritt die Familie mit Kindern und alle die weniger Abenteuerlistig waren zu sich nach hinten ins Boot geholt hat, wo es nicht nass wurde und auch ruhiger war. Für alle die also Lust auf ein Abenteuer haben, achtet auf den Wetterbericht und hofft auf Wind. Der Rest der Tour war übrigens noch super entspannt und wunderschönen.

Der Ausflug war super. Sehr entspannt, lecker Pizza und David gibt interessante Informationen und beantwortet gerne weitere Fragen.

Sehr entspannter Ausflug in entspannter Atmosphäre
Die Fahrt mit dem Boot hätte nicht entspannter sein können. Man kann sich in einen Sitzsack setzen und die Aussicht genießen, dazu gibt es leckere Pizza und verschiedene kalt Getränke. Die Maori Rocks sind sehr schön und die lange Badepause war super bei strahlendem Sonnenschein! Der Ausflug ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!
